UN Race to Net Zero
Sustainability is not a short-term initiative. It is fundamental to how we design and manufacture packaging, and it shapes the way we will do business in the future. At McLaren Presentation, our role is to create cartons, tubes and rigid boxes that showcase products beautifully while minimising environmental impact.
To demonstrate our commitment, we have joined the United Nations’ Race to Zero campaign by signing up to the SME Climate Commitment. This holds us accountable to international standards and requires us to measure, report and continually improve.
Sustainable. For Life
What is the SME Climate Commitment?
The SME Climate Commitment is part of the SME Climate Hub and provides businesses of all sizes and across all sectors with the opportunity to make an internationally recognised pledge to act on climate change. It aligns with the latest climate science and represents a collective effort to accelerate progress toward a low-carbon economy.
Our commitments are clear:
- Halve our greenhouse gas emissions before 2030
- Achieve net zero emissions before 2050
- Disclose progress on a yearly basis
Our Progress So Far:
Our goal is to deliver a sustainable business that has minimal impact on the environment and a positive impact on the communities where we operate. We refer to this as being Sustainable. For Life.
We have developed a clear strategy supported by significant investment and dedicated resources to achieve our net zero goals. This includes action across materials, energy, people and processes.
Recent initiatives include:
- Installation of 375kW of solar panels to generate renewable energy for our sites
- Development of eco-conscious packaging designs that reduce reliance on plastics and foams
- Investment in digital design and sampling technology to cut waste during product development
- Appointment of Green Ambassadors to drive awareness and embed change across our teams
- Ongoing investment in nature-based solutions to balance and remove future emissions
